William WILLIAMS - William was a convict transported in 1828 for Life. He was tried and found guilty in Brecon, Wales for horse stealing. He applied to marry Eliza Wilson a convict from Wexford Ireland her sentence was 7 yrs. for receiving stolen goods. Eliza arrived in 1834. William found gold in Ophir, but made his money in the Adelong N.S.W. golfields. He dieD at the age of 102 having lived in 3 centuries.
