The outing to the Justice & Police Museum on Saturday 19th November was very interesting, the museum had on display old police photo's dating from around 1920 to 1940?, taken in and around town and the rocks area. We did a tour through the museum as well, the members really enjoyed it. If you have never been to the museum I highly recommend it, especially while the photo exhibition is on, you never know you might just recognize a long lost relative. I was certainly looking.
The Fishers Ghost stall went very well, we did even better financially than the year before, so that was great. A very special thanks must go to Bob Gollan for taking the time to make those cute little Family Tree People, everyone loves them , they are selling really well. A big thank you to Trevor & Anne, Pam, Peter and David for manning the stall, I could not do these stalls without there help, which they give me all through the year.
The Christmas Party is being held on Saturday 3rd December at Cataract Dam, time, around 11 am. A small meeting will be held first and then the BBQ/Picnic will follow, with of course our trivia games. Members to provide there own BBQ/PICNIC and drinks.
Next year I will be working closely with the Campbelltown & Airds Historical Society to organize trips to visit some of the areas lovely old homes, the first will be St. Helens House on Saturday 18th February, 2006.
I would like to wish all the members a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
