The trip to the Doll,s Hospital on Tuesday 4th September, was a very interesting day. Our host and owner of this long running establishment {75yrs}, Jeff Chapman showed us around upstairs where all the doll's are fixed, some of which are very old. The lady in the photo with us is Beverly and it's her job to clean and re-paint these lovely old doll's. The picture is attached.
A very nice day.
The Advanced Workshop on Sunday 9th September was a very informative day, I for one learned a thing or two, David and Carole did a very professional lecture. I would like to thank them both on behalf of all those who attended, and a thank you to Peter Stewart for his yummy scones, also Kim Beddie for her delicious slices. These were much appreciated.
Saturday 20th October, is the Annual BBQ at Glenalvon House, please come along and have a good day.
If anyone is interested in coming along to see HAIR on Saturday 17th November at 8pm, cost $18pp, please see me to book and pay for tickets.
Denise.

Fact Sheet 54
Veteran’s Case Files.
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA has responsibility for functions such as the provision of repatriation services, medical and hospital treatment, and payment of pensions and allowances to eligible veterans and dependants.
Case files, sometimes known as repatriation files or DVA case files, were created for each veteran who sought the services of the department, and may include medical, hospital, clinical treatment or pension files. Sometimes these different types of case files are incorporated into one set of papers, but in most cases they are kept separately.
The files may contain personal information on such matters as the veteran’s physical or mental health, disabilities, and domestic and financial affairs. Because much of this information may be personally sensitive, veterans’ case files are not always available for public access.
This fact sheet outlines how the National Archives provides access to information in veterans’ case files that is more than 30 years old.
Please access the following link for that information on this fact sheet.
