Denise's Social Column
Our Workshop held on the 11 March, was well attended and a great success. My thanks to Carole Cockshott and David Beddie for a very well run and informative talk, I always learn something from these workshops.! A special thank you to Kim Beddie who provided plates of sandwiches and cakes and Peter Stewart who bought along a very delicious basket of scones for our guests morning and afternoon teas, well done everyone.
The Ingleburn Alive Festival was our most successful. We raised over $250. It was a very hot day, followed by a good soaking in the afternoon. My thanks to all my helpers Trevor & Anne Rhodes, Michael Murphy, Pam Shea, David Beddie, Peter Stewart, Denise Powers and Colin & Sheila Semain. Thank you to Margaret Bryant & Denise Power for their donations of saleable items. These events are only successful when everyone pitches in and helps, so thanks again to all of you.
The Theatre night seems to have been popular, as I only booked 12 tickets and I sold all 12. So to those who went I hope it was very enjoyable.
On the 3 May I am planning a day trip to Goulburn for research and fun, so far I have Margaret Byrant, Judith Bailey, Pam Shea and myself going. We will car pool from the library and the day will consist of doing what ever research the members want, with a visit to the library included. Please see me at the meeting or contact me on 4625 4946 if you are interested in coming along.
Denise.
