Denise's Social Column

Theatre Night: Even though it was a cold, wet night all those that attended the rendition of Shakespeare's Works thought it was the most funny, enjoyable night out that they have attended in a long time. They will be performing next year a rendition of Hair - I thought I might look into that for us. If it's anything like this year's performance it should be a great night's entertainment. Will keep you posted on this. No dates as yet have been given.

Fisher's Ghost Stall: This event is coming up as you know (Saturday, 11th November I still need more donations from members of items to sell, plus Volunteers to help out on the day. Unfortunately Pam and I will not be able to attend this one as we will be away on holidays, so any help we can get from members would be much appreciated. Thank you to those who have already donated items.

Annual BBQ: This year's BBQ will be held on Saturday, 21st October, in the grounds of Glenalvon House, in conjunction with the Historical Society. Those who wish to attend will need to bring their own food and drinks. It's a great day so if you are free come along and have some fun.

A get well card has been sent on behalf of the Society to Esma Hannah, as she has recently had a stay in hospital. She is now at home and we hope that she is on the road to a quick recovery.

Denise.

Whose Job is it?

This is a story about four people named everybody, somebody, anybody, and nobody. There was an important job to be done and everybody was sure somebody had done it. Anybody could have done it, but nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was everybody's job. Everybody thought anybody could do it. So it finally ended up that everybody blamed somebody because nobody did what anybody could have done all along.
I'm sure we've all come across those four people at some stage in our lives.
