Denise's Social Column
Stella Vernon has very kindly arranged an outing: 19th August, 10.30am to The Old Parsonage, St Peter's Church, Cordeaux Street
We can meet at around 10.15 am near the Church Office beside Church Hall. The building was originally used as a home, but since restoration is part of the school.
For anyone interested, Collingwood at Liverpool is open on the 5th August for Local Government Week.
Our speaker last month, James Donohoe will be coming back next April 2007 to see us again, he informs me he really enjoyed himself.
The Theatre Night preparations are going well
Joan Reese will be speaking on the NSW Convict Marriage Banns.

Surname Origins.
REDFERN.
Origin - English: habitational name from Redfern near Rochdale, Greater Manchester (Lancashire), so called from Old English re-ad 'red' + fearn 'fern', 'bracken'.
William Redfern, a surgeon was an early settler of the Campbelltown area.
