Denise's Social Column
The visit to Wivenhoe on Sat.5th March, was a very enjoyable afternoon, we had a guided tour through this wonderful old house, followed by a typical afternoon tea of that period. (2nd Photo attached)
The photo of Pam was taken in one of the many bedrooms, it's beautifully restored. (1st photo attached)
Working with Verlie and Jennifer from the C/town Historical Soc. we are planning to visit, St. Helens House, and Blairmont House, the dates for these visits will be announced as soon as they are arranged.
The Ingleburn Alive stall on Sat.18th March, was a nice day, we were in the Community Hall with C/town Historical Soc. and all the flower displays, which were beautiful.
The Campbelltown Show is coming up in April ( 21-22-23rd) and Trevor still needs volunteers to man the stall, this is always a fun day, so come along and join in.
Judith Cato has had a stay in C/town Hospital as she was not well, but I am happy to let you know, that she is home now and feeling better.
We have a Street Stall on the 19th May, this will be the only one for this year, so lets make it a good one. All donations of items to sell will be much appreciated.
Our very first Seminar was a great success.

Fact Sheet 7
Citing Archival Records.
References to archival records differ from references to books or other types of published material. A book is a separate entity in its own right, with its own author and title, but an archival record is usually unpublished and is just one item in a series of items created or maintained by an agency or person. As far as possible, archives are maintained in the same sequence and filing system in which they were created and maintained. Correct citations provide a guide to the origin as well as the location of the records.
As a minimum the citation for an archival record should refer to the institution holding the record, the series number of the record series to which the record belongs, and the item number (in RecordSearch this is identified as the control symbol).
The fact sheet provides examples of types of citations that should be used.

Electoral Rolls
This AIB describes the key records held by State Records relating to electoral rolls in NSW.
The AIB gives a background to the setting up of government in NSW, and to the various stages at which people obtained the right to vote.
Topics:
* When someone is missing from an electoral roll. Reasons given for disqualifications.
* Electoral Rolls held at State Records. As part of the records of the Colonial Secretary's office - 1842 to 1863.
* Electoral Rolls after 1863. Held in the Family History Section of the State Library. These are comprehensive, although there are some gaps between 1859 and 1900.
* Current electoral rolls. These are held at State Electoral Offices

Recipe Book
I am putting together a family recipe book for our Family History group and I wondered if you had a family contribution that you could send me.
Pages are ½ A4 (A5) to give you an idea.
I am also adding footnotes to each page and if you would like to give a brief history of the recipe or a little of your family history or special memories I would love you to send them.
The book is to have a members' family "feel" as well as an old Campbelltown "feel".
I hope you can help.
Many thanks
Margaret Bryant
